With the new cycle of accreditation the faculty has commenced a reform of its teaching activities and many advancements have been made with the creation of the new study programs by the faculty founder. We point out, with pride, that the Faculty of Applied Sciences has ten accredited programs out of which five are basic academic study programs and the other five are master study programs:
– Road traffic engineering – basic academic and master studies;
– Contemporary food technology – basic academic and master studies;
– Business economics and information technology – basic academic and master studies;
– New sources of energy – basic academic and master studies;
– Environmental protection – basic academic and master studies.
The Faculty of Applied Sciences has made a great effort to modernize the lectures and the entire study regimen to make them completely compliant with the requirements of the modern age. Considering we are cooperating with young adults who have put their trust in us and have decided to grow with us, quality, in the sense of striving towards betterment, becomes our fundamental value measure and indicator of everything we do. That path and orientation to quality consistently drive us to:
– continuously conduct scientific research and promote the general knowledge fund of the teaching staff and students within the science fields the faculty concentrates on;
– select the best professors and great experts who are still ready to learn;
– put an emphasis on expertise and science and therefore we host fora and competent experts analyzing current social problems,
– organize science conferences in which a large number of eminent domestic and international science professionals participate,
– apply for science projects which study current and social problems from the aspect of science;
– have field experts educating our students and transferring knowledge which they can utilize in the future;
– actively cooperate with business entities where our students acquire practical experience;
– give our best students chances to get involved in the teaching process whereby we permanently develop young staff interested in scientific research;
– reward our best students with scholarships;
When envisioning and defining the faculty’s future we must note the fact that with their great interest for these studies students confirm the selection of these study programs, lectures and internships. In addition to that, we constantly make efforts to promote the quality of our work, and the integrity and development of the Faculty of Applied Sciences as a high education institution. It is the strategic standpoint of the faculty to respond to all challenges of the modern context in a comprehensive way and establish itself as a leading educational and science institution in the region.
